Hospice of Lancaster County Receives Accreditation From Joint Commission
Lancaster, PA - Hospice of Lancaster County has achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation. Hospice of Lancaster County, which provides hospice care, received the accreditation award after the Joint Commission found that Hospice of Lancaster County had demonstrated compliance with the Joint Commission's national standards for home care organizations. The on-site survey occurred in January, 2006.
In becoming accredited, Hospice of Lancaster County was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission surveyor experienced in the delivery of home care services. Achieving accreditation demonstrates Hospice of Lancaster County's commitment to provide high quality care to its patients.
