Home hospice care is...and always will be...the focus of Hospice.

Coping with advanced illness, preparing for life without a loved one...rarely must anyone face more difficult challenges. Hospice of Lancaster County provides a highly specialized program for individuals, their caregivers and their families, in the advanced stages of any life-limiting illness. The Hospice team of healthcare professionals provides the highest degree of specialized care through a most compassionate approach. Care is provided in the home environment whenever possible, stressing relief from pain and easing of symptoms. Hospice focuses on comfort rather than cure. Patients and families receive emotional and spiritual support at a time when it is needed most.
A unique home-like setting... for inpatient services.

There may be times when remaining at home is no longer possible. That's when the Hospice Center offers a safe and comforting alternative-it is the closest place to home for patients
and caregivers in need of a different level of hospice care. The warm and personal inpatient unit offers unique advantages. Schedules are flexible, families and visitors are always welcome. Keepsakes and photos adorn bright, airy rooms, which are decorated with home in mind. Cozy family rooms and fully-equipped kitchens are available for group gatherings or quiet respite. When more care and services are needed than can be provided at home, the inpatient unit at the Hospice Center is the assuring alternative.

You will find the Hospice Center like no other caregiving facility. It is a place where people can quietly gather. If solitude is needed, one can find peace in the serenity of the meditation room. The soothing sound of falling water from the shell fountain can be heard as one enjoys the rose garden through beautiful leaded glass windows in the corridor. Support groups meet weekly in the comfort of the library. Staff work in pleasant surroundings. Patients can relax in a whirlpool for warm, comforting baths. Garden areas and private patient patios offer cooling shade in the summer. | |
